So Where Do You Start:
Once you've weighed all the pros and cons of traveling as a healthcare professional, make the decision that's best for you. Once you decide to jump on board, keep doing your homework and ask questions from those who are qualified to answer them. There's a lot of information out there, and not all of it is correct.
You will want to check out multiple agencies. This will improve your chances of getting an assignment in a location you desire.
Once you decide on an agency and a location, you will be asked to provide documents to build a profile. Your agency will submit your profile to the facility you choose.
When the facility accepts your submission you will sign a "contract", also known as an "at will" work agreement with your agency. You will also go through a process called onboarding. Here you will provide all the documentation that your agency and the facility require in order to employ you.
Then you start looking for housing in the area and get ready for an amazing adventure!
